Conservatoire Rachmaninoff
The Conservatoire Rachmaninoff Paris is a unique institution that embodies the rich heritage of Russian musical tradition in the heart of France. Established about 100 years ago, by some of the most illustrious émigré professors from the music schools of Imperial Russia, who included Feodor Chaliapin, Alexander Glazunov and of course Sergei Rachmaninoff, it has remained a meeting place for great musicians. With its intimate and historic atmosphere, it offers an inspiring environment for artists seeking to refine their craft. The conservatory’s dedication to excellence makes it a truly special place for musicians from all over the world.
Your mentors
Katinka von Richter is founder of the Piano Academy and an experienced piano professor for over 20 year, while playing concerts all over the world. In honour and remembrance to preserve Anatol Ugorskis and Dina Ugorskayas legacy, this piano class is continuing to keep their heritage alive. Katinka von Richter, Halida Dinova and Irina Moreland - all former students of Anatol Ugorski are today gathered to make You step into the new generation of pianists connected to this roots. Together we will be searching for the truth in music and how to connect holistically to the matter. As every pianist carrys responsibility and creates a part for the future of classical music.
Your application
You can enter the international piano Academy at the Conservatoire Rachmaninoff after successfully auditioning through a video of you playing what you play best, including at least one piano work of baroque, one of viennese classicism and one of romaticism. If You have a recommendation letter please attach to Your Video - link. The final date for applications is 15.8.2025. You will then be informed about Your potential admission as soon as every professor of the Academy has approved.
Cycles A, B and C start at september 2025.
